They discovered that paradise is based upon a much higher state of love consciousness than present society can understand. The story begins by portraying what society may evolve to by the year 2128 AD. Known as the Age of Cooperation, it was not yet quite a paradisiacal state, still it might seem as such, compared to 20th Century sorrows and frustrations. Reflecting back on events prior to 2128, let us note some of the situations that set the stage for this great leap in humanity's consciousness level. Shortly after the year 2010, it seemed that hate, despair, arrogance and cynicism had reached a pinnacle. Racial, religious and ethnic misunderstandings had turned into a nightmare of open conflict in many parts of the world. Also fueling humanity's general frustration was the misuse of some of the greatest tools of modem technology involving computers and the information highway. Although the continuing advance of computer technology had been firmly established, it was not until 2026 that true implications became evident. Most business and legal identifications were handled through use of the Internet and similar global information networks. And the trend towards a one world government, although very practical in theory, was so ill thought out that It began contributing heavily to humanity's monumental disaster. By the year 2028, economic efficiency was at an all time low, HIV-type viruses and other cure-resistant diseases were beginning to appear out of control, and the world-wide death rate now began exceeding the birth rate. Global pollution reached a peak in 2030. Frequent natural disasters, uncontrolled crime, many nations at war, rampant injustice and arrogance, disease, poverty, fear and despair became the new norms for humanity. It soon seemed apparent that if things went unchecked, mankind might go the way of the dinosaurs within 15 to 20 years. For many centuries prior to this time, Earth humans had steadily mired. themselves into quagmires of misfortune and calamity because of their own monumental ignorance and apparent need to fiercely compete for a living. But now something very profound was about to happen, Now a new force was ready to step in and forever change the course of history and mankind's ultimate destiny. This time it would be Mother Nature herself, all poised and ready to deliver a monumental wake-up call. At last she was ready to speak and strike a powerful blow to the arrogant heart and soul of humanity! Shortly after mid-year 2031, a series of massive earthquakes jolted the entire surface structure of planet Earth, the likes of which went way beyond anything humanity had ever experianced. Within the space of nine days, there were 23 separate monumental upheavals in land masses that affected whole continents. They were so powerful, there was no way any Richter Scale could even begin to register their true severity. The result of this colossal sustained violence left a global map of the world's land masses so altered, one might have thought it represented the surface of an alien planet. Billions of the world's population succumed in the catastrophic global flooding and accompanying total destruction. Virtually all previous coastal areas were now under water. Other huge land masses arose out of the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans. Just prior to this calamity, world population was well over eight billion. After the monumental disaster, only about one and a half billion souls remained. Plant and animal life also suffered catastropic losses throughout the world's ecosphere. Totally stunned, some of the surviving world leaders contacted one another by radio and determined there were still means to travel and meet at one location. They managed to arrange for a frantically urgent gathering at the city hall still standing in Macon, Georgia, U.S.A. The gist of this meeting was that drastic action had to be taken immediately to preserve surviving life on Earth. Their ultimate conclusion was that it was high time to consider the true significance of Nature's message, because apparently the Great Upheaval did not happen by mere chance. Underscoring the profound destruction was the realization that something else occurred that didn't quite compute! The sun's path in the sky was now obviously out of kilter. Days were still 24 hours in length, but now the sun no longer seemed to rise and set correctly. Soon the truth became apparent. Somehow, in some totally inexplicable way, the Earth's poles had shifted just as many psychics had predicted! 'Magnificent Transition' is a story about a man and a woman who found paradise. They discovered that paradise is based upon a much higher state of love consciousness than present society can understand. The story begins by portraying what society may evolve to by the year 2128 AD. Known as the Age of Cooperation, it was not yet quite a paradisiacal state, still it might seem as such, compared to 20th Century sorrows and frustrations.
